The Bright Morning Star Evangelical International Ministries launched The Bright Morning Star Prisons and Homelessness Outreach in September 2015, with the vision of bringing hope and change to vulnerable lives.
In May 2023, the outreach was officially registered as a charity organisation in Nigeria, marking a significant milestone in our journey.
Our mission is to prevent poverty and homelessness by shining the light of God's love on the poor, the less privileged, the disadvantaged, and those in prison, fulfilling His greatest commandment to love and care for our neighbours.
As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we give all glory to God for His faithfulness throughout these 10 years. Every life touched, every prison visited, every homeless person fed - it has all been by His grace.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, faithful partners, and the Nigerian Correctional Service for their unwavering support in making this ministry possible.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." - Matthew 25:35-36
